Key points

  • "Please retry" messages are usually short problems with a page or connection. Retrying often works.
  • Connection messages usually mean the extension restarted. Reload it at chrome://extensions.
  • Supplier checks like CAPTCHAs come from the supplier, not from DropFlowLister.

Before you start

Extension connection errors

"The extension was updated. Please refresh this page (F5), then list again."

Cause: DropFlowLister updated or reloaded while this page was open, so the page lost its connection. Fix: Press F5 to refresh the page, then try again.

"Extension Service Worker Disconnected"

Cause: The extension's background part stopped. This can happen during long jobs or when Chrome pauses inactive extensions. Fix:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions.
  2. Find DropFlowLister and click the reload icon.
  3. Go back and try again.

"❌ Connection to extension lost. Please reload the extension and try again."

Cause: Same as above. The page can't reach the extension. Fix: Reload DropFlowLister at chrome://extensions, then refresh the page.

"No response from service worker — it may have restarted. Please try again."

Cause: The extension's background part restarted in the middle of a step. Fix: Try again. If it keeps happening, reload DropFlowLister at chrome://extensions.

Warning: Reloading DropFlowLister stops any run that's going. Pause or let runs finish first if you can.

Page and supplier errors

"Listing was interrupted — please retry"

Cause: A tab used for the listing was closed or lost its connection mid-step. Fix: Don't close tabs that DropFlowLister opens during a run. Retry the product.

"Page took too long to load — please retry"

Cause: The supplier or marketplace page didn't finish loading in time. Fix: Check your internet connection, lower your threads, and retry.

"Supplier page didn't load — please retry"

Cause: The supplier showed an error page. Fix: Open the product link yourself to check it still works. Then retry.

"Couldn't reach the supplier — please retry"

Cause: The request to the supplier failed, often from a network problem. Fix: Check your internet connection, pause any VPN, and retry.

"The source was slow to respond — please retry"

Cause: The supplier or server took too long to answer (a timeout). Fix: Wait a minute and retry.

" needs verification"

The full notice says: "A verification check opened in a tab. Please complete it to continue — the run will resume automatically."

Cause: The supplier (for example, Amazon) wants to check you're a person. This comes from the supplier, not from DropFlowLister. Fix:

  1. Go to the tab that DropFlowLister brought to the front.
  2. Complete the check.
  3. Let the run continue on its own.

To see fewer checks, lower your threads and take breaks between big runs.

Browser permission errors

"Clipboard access denied"

Cause: Chrome blocked DropFlowLister from using the clipboard on this page. Fix: Click the lock icon next to the web address, set Clipboard to Allow, and refresh.

"Pop-up blocked. Allow pop-ups for this page to open the image."

Cause: Chrome blocked a new window. Fix: Click the blocked pop-up icon in the address bar, choose Always allow, and try again.

Report form errors

"Please fix the highlighted fields before submitting."

Cause: A field is missing or too short. A bug report's What happened? box needs at least 100 characters, and the Title needs at least 10. Fix: Fill in the highlighted fields and submit again.

"You just submitted this report. Please wait Ns before sending it again."

Cause: You sent the same report a moment ago. This stops double sends. Fix: Wait the number of seconds shown. You don't need to send it again if the first one worked.

"Too many submissions right now. Please wait a minute and try again."

Cause: Too many reports were sent in a short time. Fix: Wait a minute and try again.

"That image is too large for the server. Please attach a smaller file."

Cause: A screenshot is too big. Fix: Crop it or save it as a smaller file, then attach it again.

"No connection to DropFlow. Check your internet and try again."

Cause: The report couldn't reach the DropFlowLister server. Fix: Check your internet connection and submit again. Your entries stay in the form.

"The reporting service could not be reached (404). Please update the extension or contact support."

Cause: Your version of DropFlowLister may be out of date. Fix: Update DropFlowLister, or email contact@dropflowlister.com.
